Responsibilities

  • Complete all assigned tasks and projects by required deadlines while maintaining high quality standards
  • Attend staff meetings, training sessions, workshops, and seminars to gain knowledge and record meeting minutes when applicable
  • Rotate through different departments to learn various business functions and understand how each department operates
  • Shadow managers, supervisors, and executive directors to observe and learn management techniques and decision-making processes
  • Assist management with daily operations including task delegation, policy implementation, and administrative support
  • Oversee employees and evaluate work performance while providing guidance and support to team members
  • Write daily reports, analyze data, and prepare documentation to track business performance and operations
  • Assist with the onboarding and training process of new hires to ensure they are properly integrated into the organization
  • Conduct research and analysis to support various initiatives, projects, and strategic planning efforts
  • Maintain accurate records, update databases, and track revenue and expenses as required
  • Handle customer objections and concerns professionally while working to enhance customer satisfaction and retention
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and timely completion of projects
  • Provide administrative support including data entry, scheduling, and coordinating activities across departments
  • Monitor daily operations and ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety codes, and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to management and team members as needed
  • Travel to different offices or locations to participate in operations and gain exposure to various business environments

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, finance, marketing, or related field
  • Less than three years of professional work experience or recent college graduate status
  • Minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA (for some programs)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to deliver effective presentations
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple priorities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as a team player
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build professional relationships at all organizational levels
  • Strong leadership potential and desire to advance into management roles
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to change
  • High energy, self-motivated, and self-directed work ethic
  • Willingness and ability to work overtime when required, including some weekends
  • Valid driver's license (may be required depending on location)
  • Ability to relocate as needed during or after the training program

  • Previous internship experience in business, management, sales, or related fields
  • Prior experience in leadership, customer service, client relations, or business development roles
  • One year or more of customer service experience with issue resolution
  • Some management experience or college coursework in management-related subjects
  • Experience in the specific industry (food service, retail, finance, etc.) relevant to the position
  • Master's degree in business administration or related field
  • Experience with shipping, receiving, and logistics operations
  • Background in sales, marketing, or account management
  • Previous exposure to performance evaluation and employee training processes
  • Knowledge of strategic planning and business development techniques
  • Experience in motivational or public speaking
