  • Perform regular system updates, patches, and security upgrades to maintain system integrity
  • Implement and maintain backup operations, data protection, and disaster recovery procedures
  • Configure and manage network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
  • Provide technical support and training to end users and resolve help desk requests
  • Maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, and technical specifications
  • Monitor system security, implement security policies, and protect against viruses and malware attacks
  • Manage virtualization technologies including VMware and Hyper-V environments
  • Administer email systems, Microsoft 365 or G Suite, and business productivity applications
  • Perform capacity planning, database performance monitoring, and storage management

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in system administration, network administration, or related IT roles
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems (2012, 2016, 2019) and Windows desktop environments (Windows 10/11)
  • Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy administration
  • Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting computer hardware, servers, and network devices
  • Knowledge of network protocols, LAN/WAN configuration, and network security
  • Understanding of backup and recovery procedures and data protection strategies
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for resolving technical issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical support and documentation

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, CompTIA Server+/A+, Red Hat RHCE/RHCSA, or Cisco CCNA
  • Experience with Linux/UNIX system administration (RHEL, Ubuntu)
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies including VMware ESX or Hyper-V
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
  • Familiarity with firewall administration (Fortinet, Palo Alto) and VPN configuration
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools for system administration tasks
  • Knowledge of VOIP systems, IP phones, and telecommunications administration
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration
  • Understanding of database administration and SQL
  • Experience with monitoring tools and performance optimization techniques
  • Knowledge of CCTV systems, biometric devices, and physical security systems
