Objectives

  • Work closely with managers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company's hiring needs for every role and to meet competitive hiring goals and expectations
  • Manage the full recruiting lifecycle across a variety of open roles, helping managers find, hire, and retain quality candidates
  • Foster high-touch relationships using a database of qualified candidates to choose from when positions become open
  • Partner with recruiting team and senior managers to design, refine, and implement innovative recruitment strategies
  • Achieve staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates, advising managers, and managing relocations and intern programs
  • Improve organization attractiveness by recommending new policies and practices, monitoring job offers and compensation practices, and emphasizing benefits and perks
  • Promote the company's reputation and attractiveness as a good employment opportunity
  • Ensure the company attracts, hires, and retains the best employees while growing a strong talent pipeline

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the overall recruiting strategy to attract suitable candidates through databases, online employment forums, social media, and other channels
  • Develop and update job descriptions and specifications by collaborating with department managers to compile a consistent list of requirements
  • Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media networks, employee referrals, job boards, employment agencies, colleges, and community services
  • Screen resumes, CVs, and job applications to create a shortlist of qualified candidates based on their knowledge, skills, and experience
  • Conduct interviews using various reliable methods including phone screenings, video interviews, in-person interviews, and competency-based assessments
  • Assess applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes to best suit open positions
  • Arrange and coordinate management interviews by scheduling meetings, arranging travel, lodging, and meals, and escorting applicants to interviews
  • Manage job candidates throughout the hiring process, from interview preparation to final-offer negotiation
  • Complete paperwork for new hires and onboard new employees to become fully integrated into the organization
  • Manage new employee relocation by determining requirements, negotiating with movers, arranging temporary housing, and providing community introductions
  • Maintain database of candidate records, including active and passive prospects, hired and fired employees, and other designations
  • Manage internship programs by conducting orientations, scheduling rotations and assignments, monitoring intern job contributions, and coaching interns
  • Remain active with job boards, social networks, and platforms for finding quality candidates
  • Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices and provide analytical, well-documented recruiting reports to team managers
  • Keep up-to-date on current employment legislation and regulations and enforce them within the company
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
  • Foster long-lasting relationships with past applicants and potential candidates for future job openings
  • Provide coaching and guidance to junior-level recruiting staff

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • Five or more years of experience in recruitment or human resources, including full-cycle recruiting experience
  • Proven work experience as a recruiter, either in-house or at a staffing agency
  • Experience with recruitment processes and candidate databases
  • Solid ability to conduct different types of interviews including structured, competency-based, phone, video, email, and in-person formats
  • Hands-on experience with various selection processes including video interviewing, phone interviewing, and reference checks
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent recruiting and interviewing skills
  • Advanced knowledge of productivity software, database management, and internet search methods
  • Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), and Candidate Management Systems (CMS)
  • Hands-on experience with recruiting software, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), or Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS)
  • Familiarity with job boards and computer systems designed specifically for HR
  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes and candidate selection methods
  • Knowledge of current employment legislation, regulations, and relevant employment law
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Professionalism, organization, and project management skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
  • Ability to travel when required

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources Management or related field
  • Experience in developing recruitment strategies
  • Ability to organize skills assessment centers including in-tray activities, work samples, psychometric tests, and IQ/EQ tests
  • Proficiency with content management systems
  • Proficiency in social media, resume databases, and professional networks
  • Experience with phone, Skype, and online meeting platform skills
  • Supports workplace diversity
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Desire to grow professionally with networking and ongoing training opportunities
  • Minimum 2 years' experience recruiting in relevant industry environment
  • 2-4 years exempt and non-exempt recruiting experience in full life-cycle environment, including management of multiple high-volume roles simultaneously
