Responsibilities

  • Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes from inception through start-up and certification phases
  • Conduct detailed analysis and evaluation of existing manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions
  • Design and implement process optimization strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle time, and improve product quality
  • Create process documentation, technical specifications, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions
  • Perform process simulations, capability studies, and statistical analysis using specialized software tools
  • Monitor and analyze process performance metrics such as cycle time, yield, scrap rate, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
  • Troubleshoot process-related issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive measures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, quality assurance, and maintenance departments
  • Lead and coordinate process improvement projects, managing timelines, budgets, and deliverables
  • Implement process control measures including statistical process control (SPC) techniques to ensure consistent quality
  • Conduct process validation activities, including protocol development, execution, and documentation
  • Design, test, and upgrade systems and processes to meet production targets and quality standards
  • Provide technical support and training to production teams on new processes, procedures, and equipment

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Process Engineer in manufacturing, chemical, pharmaceutical, or industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of process optimization techniques, lean manufacturing principles, and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Proficiency in process analysis, process modeling, statistical analysis, and simulation software
  • Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD and process simulation tools like Aspen HYSYS, MATLAB, or similar
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex process issues
  • Working knowledge of process safety, risk assessment, and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Understanding of quality management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or similar standards
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced manufacturing environments

  • Experience with process improvement tools and methodologies such as Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and DMAIC
