Objectives

Responsibilities

  • Verify correct items and quantities are selected by inspecting products and checking against order information
  • Inspect merchandise and containers for damage or defects before packing
  • Place and arrange items in containers, bins, and boxes following specific packing instructions
  • Pack and label orders according to company standards and shipping requirements
  • Seal and tag containers, confirming accuracy of orders and signing pick tickets
  • Arrange containers on pallets and secure with stretch wrap, shrink wrap, or strapping
  • Move completed orders to shipping or dispatch area for loading
  • Load and unload trucks using totes, pallet jacks, and forklifts
  • Pack incoming stock away and assist with receiving operations
  • Take inventory and conduct physical counts of warehouse stock
  • Keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Report shortages, quality variances, and inventory discrepancies to management
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean, neat, and well-organized
  • Operate and maintain warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners
  • Perform basic maintenance on handling equipment
  • Comply with OSHA and other safety regulations
  • Assist in maintaining security of warehouse

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent
  • 1+ years of work experience in a similar role such as Order Picker, Packer, or warehouse position
  • Ability to use radio frequency (RF) scanners or barcode scanners
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Physical agility and dexterity for warehouse tasks
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment for long hours
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math and reading comprehension skills
  • Ability to work harmoniously with diverse range of people and demonstrate great team spirit
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • In-depth knowledge of industry safety regulations and OSHA compliance
  • Proficient with using tools and equipment required for the position

  • Valid forklift operator license or certification
