Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Master's degree in nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited nurse practitioner program
  • Current registered nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • National certification in a nurse practitioner specialty area (such as Family, Adult-Gerontology, Pediatric, or Psychiatric-Mental Health)
  • State licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
  • Strong critical thinking skills to assess patient conditions and determine appropriate treatment
